Non-custodial Fathers to Claim Fathers Rights: The Run-Downs

In United States, Fathers rights issues have experienced some downturns and trip overs, especially in the last twenty to thirty years. What happened? You asked. The American Bar Association admitted that more than 100 million of Americans cannot afford to hire a lawyer for anything in the 1990s. Some fathers must have let this issue go and voluntarily receive the arrears for child support despite their revolutionary protest in the issues of child custody.

What kind of help do you think that these non-custodial fathers are likely to claim in the issues regarding child support arrears? You might be wondering that the author of this article claim a bias towards divorced moms. If so, why? Indeed, the author of this article intends to paint a picture of the “other-side” of the story that was used to be disregarded and under-estimated many years ago.

The economic analysts in the US society had realized that the country was facing economic downturns decades ago, consequently, the so-called entitlements came under with some threats. Young politicians began to blame the non-custodial fathers for losing the control in welfare situation. The disaster was prevented when the child support issues were given proper attention much to the delight of the divorced moms while virtually destructing rights of the fathers.

The said planners and politicians realized that they could gain fame and prominence when they create the “bad guy” image on the fathers. There was uprising. The public was allowed to be upset and vent. The government propaganda came across loudly and wildly beat the drums of the Deadbeat fathers, the new target of the old welfare frustrations.

The propaganda worked great. The budget increased and the whole new underclass was born, the deadbeat dads. It seems that in the divorce issues, mothers will always rule. It is always the mistake of the fathers, the blame is on the father. Most of the time, the laws sided the divorced mothers. Children were taught to call their fathers with names, harassed at work, being black listed publicly, hunted down by zealous bureaucrats and many good men have kicked out from their permanent jobs.

These kind of unwitting, vicious manners that sent every good men into permanent exile from his used to call home made the upper class realize the trouble underneath. Fathers are no longer to be called deadbeat dads. They are no longer are being called the “bad guy” by the public mob. They can now fight the child support, child custody and if their right as a father is being underestimated, they can file a claim with the Fathers rights lawyers, who are now available to fight side by side with these “good men.”

Long have gone that the issues concerning child custody go directly to the moms with child support arrears are being left as obligations on the non-custodial fathers. Today, the good courts are awarding the fathers with the child custody, modifying child support, visitation rights and other important issues. With the help of the fathers rights lawyers, the deadbeat dad can now speak their own words and can take over the child custody when his ex-wife is unfit to do the support and custody in her own ability.

  4. Fathers rights are not guaranteed in the UK, especially in child custody cases where the mother and father were not married and the father was not listed on the birth certificate. It is almost impossible for a father who is not listed on their child’s birth certificate to exercise their fathers rights to visitation, so it is very important for a child’s father to ensure that their name is properly listed on each child’s birth certificate.

  5. It is very pity that father's rights have always been weaker. Proper evaluation should be done that who (father or mother) has got the more resource to raise the children. In most countries, children are prejudiced to be in mother's possession right after she gets divorced with her husband.

  6. Thank you for sharing. Certainly one of the most emotionally charged aspects of your divorce concerns your child or children. Tragically, children all too often get caught in the cross-fire of divorcing parents, when what should be ultimately important to everyone concerned is the welfare of the child.

  7. I went to Marshall Davis Brown to weigh my choices before deciding to conceive (since I'm not married, I was confused what the options were). I think it's good to set up a contract that is drawn up by a lawyer you trust before entering into any sort of family-related contract, and to make sure they're a great and reputable lawyer. There is too much that can go wrong in these kind of situations.
